ENGLISH DUBBED !!!! (13 September 2007)
While the sex/violence is a bit uncomfortable at times, i think that anyone over 18 will appreciate the whole 'sex and death' link that recurs throughout this series. The story seems to make much less sense in this dubbed version and the constant reference to the 3 similar sounding worlds and all the characters having similar names gets quite confusing (Nagumo, Agumi, Megumi, Amano.... and more).

I saw the Japanese Audio version when i was younger, and wanted to see if it was as good as i remember it (not ghost in the shell 'good', ive got nothing better to watch 'good'). Overall id say this is worth seeing, but only as a reminder of where manga has come from, and where it is today, of course the japanese audio version would be a must see, but this dubbed version is quite boring/confusing in places.

And ive never seen a manga character have as much sex as Megumi in Urotsukidoji II - Demon Womb. Its quite worrying being aroused by a cartoon girl having hentai sex with about 4 different monsters, humans and gods throughout the film, i felt very wrong, lol.

Concluding, this is totally unlike anything else you will see, so id recommend it for that reason alone. Not great, but good.

i'm no nerd o.k! i've only seen three anime's and they are classics,(Akira, ninja scroll and this one!) but a friend of mine told me about this film, the overfiend or whatever, and he said its funny as hell!
so it was cheap and i got it.
at first i was watching, and i was a little bit worried that someone would walk in and think we was watching a porn film! but it's funny as hell... that is if hell is funny... anyway, it's so funny cause it's old and retro, it's boardering on ridiculas anime porn, and it's got a gay story line that is just an reason for the producers to call it a 'movie'

all though a large fraction of the film is a complete joke the violence (even though it's cartoon) is pretty good..... great infact!

HOWEVER, i would strongly suggest you watch it only to mock it! You would be very sad if you took this film seriously! so i say open a can of beer relax and watch this hilarious but awful film with 3 mates and share a damn good laugh!

Yes, but... (15 July 2007)
Porn or master piece it all depend of your age I guess. Thing is, I saw the original Japanese version when I was a kid and this version was totally butchered. Most sex passages have been cut out or shorten... it's like watching Gone in 60 seconds and you only see them driving cars and never stealing them.. what kind of experience would you get out of it...

Forget the hentai side of things... (11 February 2007)
You may have heard about Urotsukidoji and think of it being all about gratuitous sex and violence, and violent sex more than anything. Well you'd be wrong and I'd encourage anyone to check this movie out because even though there is a little hentai it's not much and it never gets too much. The violence is crazy, yeah but that's a good thing in my eyes.
I watched Urotsukidoji 3 like two years before I got this and I was so confused and didn't like it too much. I was so confused but now I can see that I shoulda watched this one first- well it is the logical thing this being the first [and second] Urotsukidoji and everything. But this one is really great, even if the graphical style of Legend of the Demon Womb niggles at first, because it seems subtly yet noticeably different from the first feature, Legnd of the Overfiend. And in the second feature I must say that they did a terrible job with Takeaki's voice actor, reall really bad at first but you begin to notice it less as you get further in. And tell me if I missed something, but why where Nagumo and Akemi back to their old human selves in Legend of the Demon Womb after Nagumo had clearly transformed into the Chojin[?] in Overfiend and Akemi was all flying and blonde and supernatural and pregnant with that baby? And how the world [or Tokyo or wherever it was at least] was back to its old tip=top shape after Nagumo blasted it into little pieces of rubble in Overfiend? Confusing stuff but perhaps I missed something, and that's likely.
Anyway for any fans of violent anime get this. And even though I didn't really like Urotsukidoji 3 the first time I think I'm gonna go back and watch it again [after I buy it again that is] to see if I can make more sense of it now. And concerning Urotsukidoji 3, the hentai is more dominant than in these features I believe.

Mmmmkk people... this anime was, in my opinion the most funniest thing in the world!
It was so bad that it was good!
My friend lent it to me as a anime u must own!.... or something or other.
Needless to say it was in someways entertaining ( the giant penises attacking, destroying buildings and killing people lol? )
You have to watch it at least once to get to grips with the measuring scale of good anime... and the down right silly. ^_^

But one of my fave characters of all time is in this!
