My only one complaint (hence 4 stars) was that the skin tones are very orange throughout - kind of like a lot of fake tans. Perhaps this was intentional or the actors really are heavily tanned? :) Can someone answer me this? (20 December 2008)does this blu ray edition comes with portuguese subtitles?? (18 December 2008)First saw this film at the cinema... in a way it reminded me of the first time I went skydiving!! (i.e. total sensory overload!) It's a complete non stop action-a-thon, with some of the best effects I've seen in a film, probably in terms of a social comparison to Jurassic Park (i.e. if you consider how 'real' Jurassic Park looked in it's day - Transformers is it's 2008 equivalent). The acting is as Hollywood and cheesy as it gets, it's a bit of an American "OHHH-RAH GO MARINES" type movie - but all that can be forgiven for a couple of hours of sheer eye-candy - all the better on Blu-Ray of course! I'm never one for watching the special features; but by all accounts, there's loads on the discs for those of you who are interested. The best accolade I can pay this movie, is that I've probably seen 150 films at the cinema, and this is the first movie I've ever seen where the whole theatre have applauded when the final credits started rolling. Excellent film; if you can switch off and be entertained without asking too many questions or trying to pick holes in plot lines - you'll love this movie. Bay Delivers Again (06 December 2008)WOW what a great bit of film. Director Michael Bay's biggest and best film yet. It has an all star cast with an amazing production team including Executive producer Steven Speilburg (Indiana Jones) Director Micheal Bay (Armageddon) and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Fringe). If you think this movies for kids think again!!! Lot's of amazing stunts and tons of action, Transformers is a huge milestone in the film industry. Best Science Fiction Since the Matrix (05 December 2008)I was dissapointed when i learnt it was only out for HD-Dvd, until now. The visual effects are stunning the sound is crisp and it all helps when its on High Definition, Blu-Ray. Megan Fox was a bonus, Shia LaBeouf is a talented upcoming young actor. And I can't compare it to any film since the release of the Matrix Blu Ray which i have to get. |
