Customer Reviews:

Cheap but not cheerful (21 July 2008)
I can't say I was terribly impressed by this. I have never been much of a fan of Winne the Pooh, but this being such an...English....series of books, the American accents of all the characters in this Disney animation (bar Christopher Robin, who only puts in an appearance during the last two minutes of the film) soon began to grate. I'm sure this point has been complained about by many people many times before, but it is startlingly annoying. I'm sure the kids won't notice, but if you have to watch it with them - you might.

That said real reason I am writing this review is that I was absolutely astonished by the 'disaster movie' ending of this film - in which everyone is flung about during an avalanch which stikes a collapsing pine tree. I didn't think this was an 'exciting climax' to the film, and it wasn't necessary or appropriate. This is Winnie the Pooh, for heavensakes. What on earth can the film makers have been thinking?

I thought it was a very mediocre effort, even for a kid's film, and have wasted my money, as our two-year-old is done with it after just one viewing. I'd advise you to rent the silly thing, if you feel you have to see it.

There is also an awful sequence in which we see Tigger morphed into various guises, one of which is a dress-wearing creature that resembles the late Marylin Monroe. I could really have done without having had to see that. It's horrible. And as you can see, this film is about as far from the Hundred Acre Wood as you can get.

  Enthrauling (17 January 2002)
This is an excellent film for young children and adults alike. It's light hearted, easy to watch and has many comical moments.

My 3 year old daughter is obsessed with it and she even joins in with the bouncing. I would definetely recommend this film for a child and think that they can not fail to gain from it.

  A storyline was needed! (11 August 2001)
Although I appreciate that this film was designed for children, it still has to contain something to attract attention. Whilst I am aware the colours may do this, something still has to happen in order to keep a child hooked. I have always been a fan of winnie the pooh but found this film extremely disappointing!

Bouncy Tigger Fun!! (13 March 2001)
My son got this video for Christmas, and he was delighted with the free book that he received from the enclosed leaflet. Nice to see some plain, clean, fun on video, without violence. Typical Disney classics contain an element of nasty danger which younger kids can fear. Tigger is just good, clean, fun for all ages.

a must for your disney collection (20 February 2001)
This film is an all time Disney classic. I pretend I buying them for the children but, if I'm honest with myself I enjoy them just as much if not more. The dvd is a must to your collection and my children love the little games they have as extras also. All I can say is buy it.
