Myself and a mate saw the show 4 times @ different venues including a place called The Hot Potato - somewhere in the east end of London I think - actually managed to get a LP signed by most of the stars - still have it of course. Those were the days - all 1st class acts even at that early stage in their careers. Booker T was and remains a hero of mine. This DVD release brings back great memories after 40 years. Breathtaking (25 July 2008)Just watched this concert on BBC4. Blew me away. Agree with Music Gal. Awesome- and more! I am reaching for my credit card to buy this right now!!! Amazing show! (11 July 2008)I have this concert with the Stax documentary.The show is AWESOME.Starts off slow and builds up and up.The reserved Norwegian audience gradually get more and more excited.You won't want it to end.Among the best concerts I have ever seen on film and definitely bears repeated listening/watching.My favourite is Sam & Dave but there is no filler here.A must buy. |
