  Absolutely brilliant (02 September 2010)
I should start out with a warning! Don't start watching this late at night if you have to get up early the next morning!!! I started watching this at 10pm while having to get up early next day and I still ended up watching the first 4 episodes because I just couldn't stop.
I bought this because when I was thinking about buying the US movie version a lot of the reviews mentioned that this is far superior. Having watched all 340 minutes of this I can't help be thankful that I bought this and not the movie as I have no idea how they could possibly do the storyline/plot justice in just 2 hours. Every time I thought I had it figured out and started wondering how in the world they were going to spend several more episodes on that, something else would be revealed and the chase was back on, so to speak.

I can't recommend this series enough!!!

State of Play (26 July 2010)
Very enjoyable mini-series which could hardly fail given the number of excellent actors involved in the production. Towards the end the plot became a tad complicated and I'm not sure I fully understood how the various strands and sub-plots were resolved.

State of Play (25 June 2010)
This was a wonderful drama series in 2003 and it is just as good to watch now. Full of great actors such as David Morrissey and John Simm it is a thriller that has you gripped from the opening moments

Really Good Television (26 May 2010)
If you want to compare this to the movie of the same title released in 2009, don't. This series is far superior in every possible way. The multi-part series allows for the full story to be developed on all fronts. Each character is well-defined and the dialogue is well-written. You are not shorted in any way on full development of story and action. John Simm and David Morrissey are particularly impressive but all the actors did an amazing job.
I don't have a single critical comment about this production. Watch it!

  Compelling! (19 May 2010)

Superb show which is a non-stop ride from beginning to the very last minute- Great cast . Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a good thriller-it will keep you glued to the box.
