brilliant (29 August 2010)
i came across an episode on the sifi channel, trash, and i found it to be warm, funny and a great story. i took a punt on the box set as i was intrigued and i was pleasently suprised. it was great! i enjoyed the interplay of the characters and situations. if you like si-fi and have not seen this get it and you won't regret it. brilliant!

A timeless classic (20 August 2010)
I'm soooo devastated there are only 14 episodes of this. It's just so unique, funny and watchable. Genius humour, wonderful actors, GORGEOUS hero. Long live Joss Whedon. I just don't understand why the grey business suits don't get his work and cancel series so quick.
Totally recommend this DVD, I couldn't stop watching it from start to finish... and now for Serenity to find out more....

Firefly - the one that got away! (19 August 2010)
I have to admit though a Scifi Fan - Firefly never lit my fire as the whole Cowboys in space idea seemed odd and frankly I was never a Cowboys, Cowboys & Indians, or Westerns Fan.

Serenity finally made me wit my curiosity. And I was not disappointed.

Firefly - maybe Cowboys in part, but you forget that very quickly once you start watching. I also forgot that this was actually Science Fiction as well.

Why this programme was ever axed is a complete mystery to me having watched this single first series in one weekend - episodes back to back everything about this series is simply "Wonderful".

Joss Whedon's whole story line is fantastic. Very funny, very human, and very engaging.

All the actors are superb - with the exception of a Bounty Hunter who acted like a wooden post - but hey he is only in one episode.

An excellent addition to my DVD collection.

loved every second of it and the film. the person who cancelled this great show should be fired and never allowed near programming again. it takes you where star wars did in that plots is way more important than special effects. plus its really funny. I hope they make more films. buy this you wont regret it

I just LOVE firefly, and like everyone who loves it, I can't believe it was canned :*( Product came in perfect condition and just in time for the weekend when I could properly enjoy it :)
