Excellent DVD - well worth every penny (10 December 2008)
I'd always wanted to learn guitar, but thought it looked too difficult. When my son gave up, it seemed a shame to waste the guitar, so being too embarrassed and broke to have lessons I bought this DVD on the strength of the high ratings it's received here; which are well deserved. This is a truly excellent DVD. The menu system is easy to use, each session is short and the instructions are clear, you're sent away at the end of each session to practice what you've just been shown using the practice tracks and you move on once you're comfortable with your progress. Because of the way the sessions are structured, you can work through them at your own pace, I'm taking it really slowly, but even so, (in my view) I've made great progress (I didn't think I'd be able to switch from chord to chord without looking, but I can now!. I'm (obviously) an absolute beginer, but I can see this will be useful to anyone who wants to brush up on their techniques, my husband plays 12 string acoustic - and knows everything ;0) - but I've even caught him strumming away in front of the TV. Buy this DVD, you will not regret it.

learn to play the guitar (13 November 2008)
Wow, i have never played a guitar in my life, but watching this dvd makes learning to play, easy and also fun.
The dvd has a great menu system, so you can repeat each step until you have mastered the technique. Keith wyatt makes this dvd so easy to follow and is great at explaining each step.I recommend this to anyone who's a beginner and to those who are still learning, Well worth every penny. A must buy!

What a Quality Product! (03 January 2008)
I have been playing guitar for over 40 years. This Christmas, I was bought a Fender guitar outfit, in which, was the shortened version of this DVD. I was so impressed with that, that I had to buy the full version. This is suitable for all levels of guitar playing. Keith Wyatt is an excellent instructor, who makes you feel that you are actually in a "face-to-face" lesson. If you are a beginner, then this is a definite "must have". If you have some experience, you can learn more from this. Well done Hal Leonard Corporation, and definitely well done Keith Wyatt!

i thought i could never play as well as i did i bought this dvd thinking i wouldnt be to good at following it but now 'i rock' i think this is by far the best tutor dvd for the guitar!!!

Excellent, especially for beginners (04 March 2006)
I had never played the guitar before buying this and think it is very clear, helpful and not too repetitive or boring. It is much more useful that i thought it would be and i think the practice tracks are great. I don't think you could learn as much from just a book.
