| | Customer Reviews: Great Music....However (29 December 2008)When I saw that Faithless had released a new live show on DVD I knew I had to get it. The 'Live at Alexandria Palace' DVD set the standard, I was hoping for something similar. The performance is a tight and polished as ever but the mix lacks and of the 'live' feel. To be fair, the venue is smaller, the light rig is less complex and there's an orchestra. Overall I like it as with all other Faithless material but personally think it could have been much better if the mix had been improved. Superb concert but lacking depth (10 December 2008)I saw faithless at Oxford University when they first started, they were just superb, over the years they just seem to get better. Their last album To All New Arrivals was just awesome. I purchased their last concert at Alexandra Palace and loved it, the sounds made you feel like you were right there, when I saw the Moscow concert I quickly snapped it up. After listening to it today, I felt rather disappointed by it, it seemed to lack depth compared to their Alexandra gig. After watching the interview I realised why, it's a smaller audience, the impact is simply not there. I think if I'd have purchased this concert first I would have more than likely given it 5 stars. With sounds like Faithlesses which are very Euphoric, smaller audiences do them no justice. Still a superb concert and worth the watch. Keep up the good work Faithless Superb DVD, (10 November 2008)Got the DVD today, having never seen Faithless live I am determined to go and see them as soon as they are back touring in the UK. Superb track line up and every tune sounds spot on. Clearly an amazing band live. If you are in to Faithless then you wont be disapointed. Great DVD and well worth the money. |
