Timeless (16 August 2010)
Absolute classic! I loved watching this film again, it took me right back to the late eighties, what a nostalgic era. This film will always be in my top 5 fave films list. The second disc is also great with lots of cuts and extras that you will have probably never seen before. This purchase was well worth it.

Dirty Dancing is one of the most talked about and raved about films in history, and for good reason. Set in the early 1960's, this film captures all the elements of typical social norms of this time. Baby (Jennifer Grey) is young, naive and has no idea what is in store for her when her family and her arrive at Kellerman's, a holiday resort where she meets gifted dance teacher Johnny (Patrick Swayze). Baby has the potential to become a great dancer and in the process grows up significantly and learns alot about the real world. With beautiful performances from both Grey and Swayze, this film is extremely hard NOT to love.

Definitely one of those Dvd's that you watch when it's a cold winters night and you've got a mug of something warm next to you. :)

Have only today tried this video and it will play neither on our HDD/DVD player on the TV or on the Media center of my laptop.

I have tried other DVDs - no prob on either?

Can you replace with a working version? - pse advise method.

No problems on previous Amazon DVDs.

A timeless classic (22 May 2010)
I already have a copy of Dirty Dancing but it was my sister's request to have a replacement one for her 30th birthday. This is one of those movies that you can watch over and over again and swoon over the late Patrick Swazye. It is still magical 20 years later and I have watched other movies related to dance but none have the same magic and chemistry. My sister is really thrilled with this present and she won't lose it again!

Fantastic movie. A classic that everyone who likes dance movies should own.
This edition is amazing, because of all the extras. There is an entire dvd full of extra material, deleted scenes and interviews. It is interesting and entertaining to watch all the actors talk about the experience of the making the movie.
